Mini-Valentine's Day crafts for your mini-humans
With Valentine’s Day less than two weeks away (honestly, how is it February already?) we’ve rounded up some of our favorite kid’s crafts to celebrate the holiday. From adorable tea bags to brilliant tasseled boxes, we have something fun for everyone.
Valentine's heart-shaped tea bags from Festival Brides.
We can’t get enough of these charming heart-shaped tea bags and they are oh-so-simple to make. Older kids can help with the cutting and stitching, and little ones can help with the filling. Pile them in a gift box and pop in a sweet Valentine’s note and send them off to grandma. The best part? You probably already have the majority of supplies at home.
The instructions can be found here.
Homemade Sour Strawberry Pop Rocks from Lauren Conrad's blog:
While Ollie+Squish’s new swimwear line is reminiscent of ‘70s design, we might as well make a pitstop back to the ‘90s for some good ol' pop rocks.
The team over at Lauren Conrad's blog whipped up a homemade version of everyone’s favorite ‘90s confection - using real sugar and strawberry extract, not artificial flavoring. They’ve shared the recipe here.
These Sweetheart Charms from Purl Soho
The story behind these felt charms are so sweet - you can read more about it here (as well as the directions). The mini heart has a tiny pocket, where you can send along a piece of candy or a little love note. Hang them on backpacks or pop one into your child’s lunchbox to let them know you’re thinking about them.
Valentine Tassel Heart Favor Box from The House Lars Built
Inspired by a trip to Mexico City, this whimsical, heart-shaped paper box from The House That Lars Built doubles as both decor and a gift favor. The top opens up to stash all sorts of goodies. Or if you prefer, hang this papery mobile on your doorknob and let the fun pom-pom tassels dangle all through February.
Take a look at the directions here.
Raspberry Love Letter Cookies from Bo's Kitchen
These adorable cookies are from Bo's Kitchen and she is awesome enough to share her recipe directly on her Instagram @bos.kitchen. The recipe makes 10, but we're not convinced these yummy love letter cookies will ever make it out of the kitchen.
Which one is your favorite?! Let us know what you made!
Wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day from all of us at Ollie + Squish. xo
